Visiting a McLaren 675LT, BMW M3 Ring, LFA visited a event at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. We take a look around the paddock filled with some great cars like a volcano red McLaren 675LT, a very lightweight BMW M3 "ring", some very rare Isdera's and an even rarer Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition.

With the Nordschleife ready, sunny and dry was ready to begin. On first sight we saw a gorgeous Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition. For us a familiar face as we have already met the owner. He was kind enough to show the interior and great V10 engine. He loves this car as everything work so well and is perfectly engineered. He chose a very bold interior color combination with the all carbon fiber interior. Awesome to see this car racing at the Nordschleife, as this is 1 of 2 cars in Europe, and this is the only one racing and being used. After the trackday he need to drive 600km's back home, great stuff.

We also saw the very rare Isdera cars. A couple of years ago we wrote an article about the brand Isdera. We saw the Erator GTE which is based on a Ford GT40. Powered by a 5L V8 race engine from Mercedes it has 420hp and it weights only 960kg. This Isdera Erator GTE will go to 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.0 seconds and was rocking the Nordschleife hard, full power on the main straight, this car is very fast.

The grey Isdera is called the Mercedes Benz Studie CW 311 produced in 1972. It was a concept car and was designed to minimize the drag coefficient. As the name shows it has a CW value of 0,311. As you can see even the mirror is mounted on top to decrease drag. With its tuned AMG V8 it produced 375hp and was capable of a top speed of 319 km/h. At the time it was faster than the Lamborghini LP400-S Countach and Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (13) (6) (7) (8) (9) (10) (11) (12) (14) (15) (16) (17) (19) (18) (20) (1)

The red BMW M3 "ring" is an awesome lightweight BMW M3 e92 built by Beyond Motorsport. They gave it their all removing weight from this car, no AC, no radio, no exhaust tips, wider arches and a very big wing. Car is still a project under development and when done well capable of a 7:15-7:30 BTG. We will be seeing this car more often at the Nordschleife. The car is an original GT4 car, with a Drenth racing gearbox, carbon fiber airbox and weights just at 1400KG. Tomedelic1 recorded a great onboard doing a 7:33 BTG check it out down below.
