AvD Oldtimer GP 2017: Action Shot Qualifying time

TrackandTuner.com visited the AvD Oldtimer GP. Our favorite classic car event of the year at the Nurburgring. Every year we are amazed by the classic cars going full out. These cars are worth millions and have built up a great historical reputation.

You have already seen an overview of the race cars in the paddock here:

Now it is time to go racing, time for qualifying session 1, Q1. It was damp and a bit rainy, so most of them fitted rain tires to go out onto the Nurburgring GP-Strecke.

This is bad for the Ford Zakspeed which has so much downforce that it needs to speed up. While the BMW M1 Procars are pretty good in the rain, they were no match to the insanely fast 900HP Porsche Kremer K3's.

Both the Porsches as the BMW M1 Procars are shooting massive flames for the hot exhausts. These are not fake burbles, this is pure fuel igniting shooting massive flames.
