TrackandTuner.com visited the Nurburgring Nordschleife during a fantastic weekend. During all our years we have met many great people all with the same passion, to have fun and master the Nordschleife.
We call them "regulars" as they are addicted to the Nordschleife and always around during Touristfahren. One of these great people is ppg.life. With two gorgeous cars he has the best of both worlds to attack the Nordschleife.
He can choose the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, a wild bull with a great sounding V10. The car is nimble but hard work on the Nordschleife. A safer choice is the Porsche GT3 RS, which we all know is the best factory car for the Nordschleife.
We met ppg.life together with a highly tuned BMW M3 F80 at the famous Nurburgring Ring*werk for a photoshoot.
We took the three cars out for some great pictures during the "golden hours" on the Nordschleife.
The eifel is such a great region and perfect for making some awesome photos of these beasts. The BMW M3 F80 is heavily tuned with a roll cage, full carbon fiber wings, tuned to 560HP and a lot more great parts on it. As you can see it attracts a lot of attention around the Nordschleife.
BUT, it is no show car, it can easily lap the Nordschleife in a Sub-8.
However, while the BMW is great to drive the real track weapon is the Porsche GT3 RS. The car has now been fitted with a suspension set up by the Porsche specialists over at Manthey-Racing.
This makes the Porsche very hard and stiff but extremely good on the Nordschleife. The new suspension makes it squeaky on the street, but you can tell you can feel everything you need to know.
We took it outside its natural environment for some fun photo's in the Eifel hills.
While we have three totally different cars here, all have one passion the Nordschleife.
The BMW M3 F80 is more of a show car with great track possibilities, while the V10 Lamborghini Performante might be the most exciting car to drive on the Nordscheife. It is hard work, but you can go very fast if in the right hands, as you can see in the video down below.
However the faster car of the moment, is the Porsche GT3 RS, which just recently set a Sub-7 lap time, as you can see in the video down below. Great respect for doing this on a trackday and with more to come.
